Jennifer was first elected to the Three Rivers Park Board in November of 2012. In 2022, she was re-elected again to the Three Rivers Park Board.
At first meeting of 2023 voted to serve as Vice-Chairwoman of the Three Rivers Park Board of Commissioner by her fellow Commissioners.
In 2023, Jennifer was selected by the National Federation of Women Legislators as a 2023 Elected Woman of Excellence for her service on the Three Rivers Park District and her work on the Mississippi Gateway Regional Park redevelopment Project.
Jennifer serves on the Park Board representing the communities of Brooklyn Park, Champlin, Dayton, Osseo and Maple Grove.
She previously served as the Chair of the Three Rivers Park Board Intergovernmental and Community Engagement Committee and the Commissioner Liaison to the Three Rivers Park Board Foundation.
Since her election, Jennifer’s focus has been bringing the perspective of families to the Park Board decision-making process.
Jennifer is married to her husband Todd and a mom of four children (Michael (18), Norah (16), Claire (14) and Anna (12)). Jennifer and her family are long-time users of the regional park system and appreciate the wide variety of educational and recreational programs our Park District offers.
She is a graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, specializing in Structural Engineering.
She recently went back to school to pursue a second college degree. Jennifer earned an Associates in Science in Accounting, Management and Business Admin. with Honors from North Hennepin Community College.
Jennifer was appointed by the Minnesota Commissioner of Department of Labor and Industry and served two terms on the Construction Code Advisory Council by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry to represent Local Government. She has also was appointed by former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty to serve on the Minnesota Commission on National and Community Service (SERVEMN) board where she represented the perspective of volunteers.
Jennifer has been very active in her community.
