Curious about what is happening at Three Rivers Park District?

Commissioner DeJournett will be using this space to update you with personal updates as well as with content from the Three Rivers Park District website.


Dec. 9 - Minnesota Nordic Ski Opener

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2023

Embrace winter by celebrating cross-country skiing at the Minnesota Nordic Ski Opener! Skiers of all abilities and ages are invited to kick off winter with free skiing, free ski rental equipment and free mini lessons. Participate in the Ski Tour with routes for the whole family, and check out the Nordic Market with representatives from 50 Nordic ski suppliers, resorts, retailers and clubs. Warm up in the chalet, and grab a warm beverage or meal.

Snow Sports Academy 2023 / 2024 Season

LESSON REGISTRATION INFORMATION


The SnowSports Academy offers private, semi-private or public skiing, snowboarding and Telemark skiing lessons for all ages and abilities.


Due to technical issues with our registration vendor, registration for private lessons has been rescheduled to Tuesday, November 21, beginning at 8 AM. 


Because online registration is not working for all customers, we encourage you to call directly to register for your lessons:


  • Hyland Hills: 763-694-7800, ext. 0
  • Elm Creek: 763-694-2050


Registration for public lessons opened on October 17.

The Wandering Naturalist is a Great Podcast

If you haven't listened to The Wandering Naturalist , you should.   


About the Wandering Naturalist;  The Wandering Naturalist podcast explores the natural and cultural history of the 27,000-acre Three Rivers Park District and the surrounding Twin Cities area. Hosted by Brandon Baker, an interpretive naturalist at Eastman Nature Center, and Wildlife Biologist Angela Grill, the podcast covers a new topic each month. Baker and Grill discuss the basic science and biology of each month’s topic and interview expert guests for a lively and in-depth conversation on how natural and cultural history shapes and impacts the parks of today and their surrounding communities.

OPPORTUNITY TO COMMENT ON MISSISSIPPI GATEWAY UNDERPASS PROJECT

Three Rivers Park District proposes to construct an underpass along the Rush Creek Regional Trail at West River Road in the city of Brooklyn Park, MN. 


The project will include construction of the underpass, along with retaining walls, trail connection and a storm water outlet pipe.
